Emotion is the experiential arc between the problem and its solution:
Between the danger and the escape lies fear. Between novelty and its exploration lies joyful curiosity. Between the loss and its eventual acceptance lies the grief and its completion.
Diana Fosha
It’s been said that showing up for ourselves is the hardest, most important work we’ll ever do.
Whether you find yourself grieving a significant loss, processing a difficult life change, or simply wanting to explore a different way of relating to yourself and the people around you, I know that even being here — the act of wanting to see more clearly — takes courage.
I see therapy as a sort of pilgrimage to our authentic, integrated selves, sometimes in the face of darkness and grief. In the words of Francis Weller, “We are most alive at the threshold between loss and revelation; every loss ultimately opens the way for a new encounter.” Journeying through what feels difficult in our lives is redemptive, and part of the process of bringing our fullest and best into the world. I would be honoured to accompany you in this journey.
